  The Book of Negroes - thank you BET! I had an opportunity to finally view the miniseries and was completely enamored with the this story of survival and love. I want to thank BET for bringing this story to life. There are so many stories of Black people /5(30).   I noticed how attracted my son was to the images in my books. He would curl up with me and stare at the gorgeous illustrations and ask me about the characters and the stories.
